Natural soap is made using ingredients from nature—without synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances, or harsh preservatives. Unlike mass-produced commercial soaps, which often contain detergents and fillers, natural soap is crafted from plant oils, clays, botanicals, and essential oils. These nourishing ingredients care for your skin rather than stripping away its natural oils.
How Is Natural Handcrafted Soap Made? Cold Process Explained
We use the traditional cold process method to create our natural soaps. This time-honoured technique involves mixing plant-based oils and butters with a lye solution (sodium hydroxide). This triggers a natural chemical reaction known as saponification. During this process, the lye is consumed, transforming into soap and glycerin, leaving no residual lye in the final product.
Unlike factory-made bars, our cold-process natural soap retains glycerin—an exceptional natural moisturizer. This ingredient helps keep skin soft and hydrated by drawing in and retaining moisture. Each soap bar is poured, cut, and cured by hand, a process that spans at least 6 weeks. The result is long-lasting, skin-loving soap.
